WWE's superstars are often difficult to leave the business, especially after three decades of blood, sweat, tears, passion and hard work. This becomes more evident after they decide to get away from the ring, often due to the elderly or injuries.
That is the case of The Undertaker, who apparently struggled to find a purpose after his career in the ring ended. He recently talked about his decision to withdraw from competition within the ring.
The Deadman has remained faithful to his retirement since his triumphant victory over Aj Styles in a Boneyard fight in Wrestlemania 36. He may have hung his boots, but he continues to appear on WWE from time to time in a capacity not related to the fight.
Speaking in your podcast Six Feet UnderThe Undertaker shared what was going through his mind when he decided to retire.
The three -time heavyweight champion revealed that he did not have enough energy in the tank despite his desire to continue in the ring.
“In my mind, in my mental eye, I could still continue, but in my heart I wanted to continue, but I knew, as I was like, 'I'm finished, my gas ended.' ' I really took a while to accept it, although I knew I was doing the right thing, but there was still a great void. I don't know if I want to train. (From 1:27:41 to 1:28:17)

The Undertaker addresses a possible fight against Gunther in WWE
The Undertaker has often talked about WWE's current heavyweight champion, Gunther, in his podcast. The Phenom feels that a fight between him and The General Ring would have 'generated a lot of money.'
The Undertaker recently discussed a hypothetical combat with Gunther, saying that both men would have ended in a fight to punch.
“We could fight punch. As much as I want, no matter how much I love to see him work and everything he does, we would fight punch. I would hit me, the second time, I would say 'Okay, come on.'”
However attractive this paper program sounds, it is unlikely that the WWE universe see these two men face in the ring soon.
