The Shield is one of the most iconic factions in WWE's story. Almost 11 years have passed since Seth “Freakin” Rollins betrayed his brothers, Dean Ambrose (now Jon Moxley) and Roman Reigns, stabbing them from behind to join The Authority.
Since then, there have been several meetings, but his last stage as a trio was tragically interrupted by the departure of Ambrose from the company. The sits of Justice shared the ring for the last time in April 2019, after which Moxley left and then joined AEW.
The implosion repercussions of The Shield feel until today. Despite its immense impact, the WWE universe would gladly accept another meeting. Unfortunately, fans must lower their expectations since there is little hope that the sits of justice meet.
#4. Seth Rollins said a meeting will not occur until an induction to the Hall of Fame
A few years ago, Seth “Freakin” Rollins gave an interview with Stephanie Chase de Digital Spywhere The Shield meeting was discussed, and Rollins had a forceful opinion.
The first heavyweight worldwide champion thinks that the wrestling world may never see the wishes of justice together as a team. Instead, Rollins states that an induction to the Hall of Fame would bring together the group in the ring.
The visionary affirmed that they are no longer needed regularly. The three men are great stars in their own right, so they do not need a equipment or faction to connect with fans.
#3. Roman Reigns said The Shield is dead
Last week in SmackDown in London, Roman Reigns, Seth “Freakin” Rollins and CM Punk signed a contract to make their triple threat fight official in Wrestlemania 41.
Reigns and Rollins exchanged some words before Punk appeared. The visionary reflected on The Shield's domain, but the OTC quickly interrupted him by saying that the “we” died a long time ago. Previously, during the preparation for Royal Rumble 2022, Reigns admitted that he had not forgiven Seth.
The tribal boss seemed to confirm that there would never be a meeting. Since Reigns does not want to have anything to do with Rollins, the hounds of justice could never meet.
#2. The story between Roman Reigns and Seth “Freakin” Rollins has a hatred that will never end
From the perspective of the Storyline, a meeting of The Shield seems not very plausible and illogical. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins do not support each other due to the large number of repressed emotions in their relationship, which eliminates much of the hope of a reconciliation.
During the preparation for Survivor Series: Wargames, Reigns shook the hand of all the members of the OG Bloodline. However, he repeatedly rejected his family's supplications to include Rollins in the team. The OTC accepted CM Punk in his team, but was not willing to do the same with the visionary.
As for Rollins, he does not miss any opportunity to harm and torment his old brother of The Shield. From costing WWE's undisputed universal title in Wrestlemania 40 to almost “killing him” at Royal Rumble 2025, he doesn't care much Reigns.
Considering the various layers of the Reigns-Rollins saga, a meeting does not seem logical and could undo years of an incredible narrative.
#1. Jon Moxley is satisfied in AEW
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins constitute two thirds of The Shield. The last member, Dean Ambrose, is an outstanding star in All Elite Wrestling, where he has fought for more than decade.
Jon Moxley seems to be very satisfied in AEW, where he has won multiple championships. Moxley has been treated as a true attraction and an important star in AEW. While Cody Rhodes, Andrade and CM Punk returned to WWE in recent years, the 39 -year -old star has remained in the promotion of Tony Khan and is the reigning world champion.
Given the impulse he has received, Moxley could have little incentive to return to WWE. Therefore, acquiring the shield's lunatic is a difficult task.
