A former WWE presenter believes that Cody Rhodes could become a villain. He said that a former 41 -year -old star could return to represent the villain American Nightmare.
The former star in question is none other than Brandi Rhodes. Cody's wife left the company based in Stamford along with him in 2016. The couple worked in several promotions, including AEW, during the following years. Although The American Nightmare returned to WWE in 2022, his wife did not.
Speaking in the podcast Busted Open former Raw Talk presenter, Matt Camp, said Brandi could return to the company based in Stamford to represent her husband after the latter potentially becomes rude:
“If Cody in his current version changes things a little more, he could be an egocentric and hungry of power. He would bring Brandi with him and would be this powerful couple who has taken over all the professional wrestling as world champion with his beautiful wife by his side and nobody can touch us and I used all of you to reach this, blah, blah. Bla. They made me rich. They put money in my pocket. Be great in that role. However, we are not even close to that, ”he said.
Is Cody Rhodes “sitting the bases” for the return of Brandi Rhodes to the WWE?
Brandi Rhodes made a unique appearance with her husband during the entrance of Cody Rhodes on the second night of Wrestlemania 40. Later that night, she celebrated her victory for the indisputable WWE championship with him in the ring.
In a recent interview with Busted Open Radio The American Nightmare affirmed that could be looking for a “classical wrestling manager” to accompany him in this reign of the title. Veteran journalist Bill Apter addressed Rhodes's comments on The Wrestling Time Machine, pointing That the 39 -year -old fighter could be laying the foundations for his wife's return:
“What Cody could be preparing is the return of Brandi Rhodes and his support. (…) It worked when she returned recently, when she left. I forgot, was it in Wrestlemania or somewhere else where she left and the fans went crazy? Maybe this is to establish the standard for her return.”
Brandi has moved away from the wrestling business since he left AEW two years ago. It would be interesting to see if I would return to WWE To represent her husband.
