WWE promoted the history of cage fighting at Madison Square Garden before RAW's star event, facing Seth Rollins against CM Punk. As he did not return in Elimination Chamber, the possibility of Roman Reigns from breaking into the main event was high.
Throughout the night, Michael Cole mentioned historical fighting in the cage of past events in the famous sand, including efforts by Randy Savage and Jimmy Snuka.
While that has great meaning for wrestling and wwe, this episode needed to compensate for a mediocre episode of SmackDown. Iyo Sky faced the disrespectful harassment of Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair.
Reigns effectively appeared after his last participation in Royal Rumble fight. Outside those outstanding moments, he did not meet that challenge. Having only four fights did not help. WWE made the next five mistakes in the last RAW.
#5. The same story with Gunther and Jey use
With almost two months between Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 41, WWE has a lot of programming to fill.
Since they chose Jey use to challenge Gunher for the world title heavyweight, it means that fans have read the same book chapter again and again. Those in charge of the programming are maintaining the narrative that Jey cannot defeat The General Ring.
He beat Gunther a few weeks ago. However, WWE scheduled the same confrontation, ending with the champion suffocating Jey for the second consecutive week in RAW.
Both men are limited in the microphone, so officers need to find better ways of weaving different week after week.
#4. Sacrifice fight for promotional material and highlight celebrities
This has been a continuous problem since WWE moved Raw to Netflix. When they used to promote the premiere of a program in the USA Network, RAW presented one or two actors involved in the show.
However, in Netflix, this is becoming a growing problem every week. This week's RAW presented at least 10 rappers, celebrities and other random athletes. They showed a boxer, some actors of level C and Macaulay Culkin, famous for Home Alone.
Some were of Netflix scriptized programs, realities and other random areas. Michael Cole and Pat Mcafee acted as if they were friends of most of them.
The multitude of New York cheered about a quarter of the promoted ones. All that time could have been destined to another fight, since Raw had only four.
#3. Cody Rhodes fills time at RAW
WWE RAW had the SmackDown star Cody Rhodes appearing again to talk about John Cena and his association with The Rock. As Cena did not appear, the American nightmare went to the faithful of New York.
Rhodes mentioned something that Cena said on social networks before claiming that he had no more respect for the business or history of Madison Square Garden.
He felt unnecessary, especially because he was one of the three stars of the blue brand that appeared in RAW. Bianca Belair appeared and was slapped to push a cake to Io Sky. Roman Reigns broke into the main event. The Wildcard rule or the transfer window must remain at stake.
#2. Why is Raquel Rodriguez for the female intercontinental title?
With such a talented roster from top to bottom, from the main roster to Nxt, Raw saw the champion in female couples Raquel Rodriguez facing Bayley. The winner became the main contender for the intercontinental title of Lyra Valkyria by default.
Since he is already champion in pairs, why isn't another star give the opportunity? Wanting more fits with your heel characters. However, Liv and Raquel won gold a week before elimination chamber and should be defending those titles.
Instead, WWE is accumulating when presenting the same women at multiple angles, as if it were still Wargames. Where are Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler? Couldn't Roxanne Perez be integrated into something, since he has appeared since Royal Rumble?
#1. Bron Breakker receives crumbs compared to The Judgment Day
After the beating and confrontation of last week with The Judgment Day, it would have made sense that the intercontinental champion Bron Breakker appeared looking for revenge.
Instead of highlighting one of its main champions, the group without male headlines received two segments in the show. In a segment after reeders, Dominik Mysterio revealed that he won an opportunity against Breakker next week in Brussels, Belgium.
That joined Rodriguez's victory over Bayley. When losing to Rodriguez, Bayley runs out of direction for Wrestlemania 41. Why is it so difficult to highlight Breakker, a future world champion, consistently? He feels as if he could suffer the same destination as Shinsuke Nakamura at the SmackDown last week.
