John Cena is scheduled to retire from WWE at the end of this year. A WWE analyst recently proposed a stage in which The Franchise Player would lose his final fight against a champion five times.
The legendary 48 -year -old fighter is rumored that he will last fight in his career in his native Massachusetts in December. In recent months, fans and experts have suggested several names as possible opponents for WWE's current undisputed champion in his final fight. A fan proposed in an episode of the podcast Notsam Wrestling by Sam Roberts that Logan Paul retired to Cena. However, the analyst did not agree. Roberts said Bron Breakker should be the one who defeats The Franchise Player in his last fight.
Roberts suggested that it should happen in the same way that Bret Hart beat Terry Funk in the last fight of the latter with a Small Package:
“I mean, Bron Breakker covering John. You just have to go back to Terry Funk. Package. (1:13:23 – 1:13:45)
John Cena recently confirmed that he will not face a WWE legend again
One of the names suggested by fans and experts as a possible opponent for John Cena in his final fight was Randy Orton. However, The Viper and The Franchise Player faced earlier this month in Backlash.
Although some expected that they could have a rematch later, Cena confirmed that they have ended their 25 -year rivalry in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight:
“On WWE's side, we only took them one by one. We did the last one in St. Louis. I had my last fight with Randy Orton and it was great to be able to close, in some way, that 25 -year rivalry. So, you know, as each chapter occurs, it is a different sensation for all,” he said.
While Cena is scheduled to face R-Truth in Saturday Night's Main Event, it will be interesting to see who will end up being the final opponent of the world champion 17 times.
