The Knight has held the United States championship from WWE Summerslam. The wrestling veteran Greg Gagne recently predicted that The Megastar would leave the title in the hands of another SmackDown star.
Since he won the title, Knight has been a fighter champion. He defended his championship against several superstars, including Santos Escobar, Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. This Saturday, the 42 -year -old will put his title at stake against the returned Shinsuke Nakamura in Survivor Series. The seven -time champion returned almost two weeks ago to attack The Megastar. He did the same last Friday in the blue brand before the fight for the title became official.
In the podcast Straight Talk with The BossGagne predicted the result of the next fight for the title in Survivor Series. He said that Nakamura would leave the Premium live event with the United States Championship:
“I would say that they would probably have to opt for him (Nakamura). That new entry he made, looks quite impressive,” he said. (52:12 – 52:20)
The former WWE writer also believes that Shinsuke Nakamura could dethrone the Knight
In his podcast Wrestling with Freddieformer WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. approached the next fight for the United States Championship between Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura.
The Hollywood star said it would be great if the title was exchanged between the two superstars. He also suggested that Nakamura could dethrone The Megastar if the latter takes another address:
“It would be great if I could come and go a little, or if I could even, you know, take it to the Knight and then find another story for the,” he said.
Knight successfully defended his title last Friday against Santos Escobar. It will be interesting to see if you can do the same this Saturday in Survivor Series.
