The new number three of the PSOE, Rebeca Torró, is a woman who knows how to face the game. He did it when an alleged case of corruption broke out in the Diputación de Valencia and will now do it in a much higher stadium: when it splashes a ministry. The Secretary of State of Industry – First Woman who held this position – will be the new PSOE Organization Secretary after the expulsion of Santos Cerdán.
Torró will be accompanied by a team of three other people as attachments. It will be Anabel Mateos, responsible for the territorial coordination. Mateos is a deputy for Almeria and was already previously in the Executive as responsible for municipal policy. For its part, Francisco Salazar, which will be in charge of analysis and electoral action; and Borja Cabezón, which assumes transparency and democratic action.
The Valencian, born in Ontinyent in 1981, was aUPADA from the confidence core of the expressor of the Generalitat Ximo Puig and the General Secretary Diana Morant to one of the ministries with the most budgetary weight after the PSPV and the leftist alliance lost the Generalitat.
Torró knows the industry portfolio perfectly. He was a regional housing secretary and after sustainable economy at the Consell de Puig, from where he piloted the arrival of Volskwagen gigafacto to Sagunto, one of the largest investments for the Valencian Community financed with European funds.
The work, which led with discretion, earned him to be appointed Minister of Territorial Policy when the Valencian President undertook his government reform. In the Consell de Puig, it was investigated by anti -arud for the purchase of duante the pandemic sanitary material.
From Ontinyent's fief
Puig rewarded his work, and also loyalty to the party. He was practically alone in Ontinyent, a socialist fief who went to the municipal party of Jorge Rodríguez, former president of the Diputación de Valencia who was expelled by the 'Alquería Case', of which he was acquitted.
