Originally, Toni Storm was going to face Catalina in the October 11 edition of CMLL “spectacular Friday.” However, the meeting was delayed due to the effects of Hurricane Milton, but finally faced Catalina during Eventode this week and made its debut in the CMLL ring.
On Friday, October 18, 2024, CMLL headded with the “spectacular Friday” in the emblematic Arena Mexico of Mexico City. The event had a double star event, with Toni Storm making its CMLL debut against Catalina, the winner of the tournament for the CMLL 2023 women's universal championship.
In a fight full of energy between the former three -time Women's Women's Champion of AEW and “The Ring Diva”, Catalina assured the victory when applying a Dive Splash to Storm. This was Storm's first fight in Mexico and its CMLL debut.
After the fight, Storm went to the public and promised to return to the Mexico Arena in the near future.
Storm, who previously competed in Stardom, unsuccessfully challenged Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Championship at the Nagoya Golden Figh Stardom event on October 5. His last appearance in AEW was at All In on August 25, 2024, where he lost Aew's World Women's title against Mariah May.
