A few hours before Thursday, June 12, the report of the UCO of the Civil Guard that places the former Secretary of Organization of the PSOE Santos Cerdán was made public as the leader of an alleged plot of collection of commissions in exchange for public works awards, Ramón Alzóriz (Pamplona, 1973) closed ranks with his friend already Navarrese. In an appearance in the atrium of the Foral Parliament, just before entering the plenary, Alzórriz questioned the information that the night had published eldiario.es that advanced that the report provided very compromising recordings for Cerdán and criticized the “hunt by a pack of hyenas” towards his political mentor. Six days later, President Navarra and general secretary of the PSN, stripped her of her positions in the party for having hidden that her partner had worked at the Servinabar 2000 company, owned by Antxon Alonso and Santos Cerdán, and that the UCO places in the center of the plot.
The fall of Alzóriz – although he has been allowed to be a parliamentarian Raso – was a new blow to Chivite, who the same day he invited to go out to his 'number two' had declared feeling “betrayed” by his friend “Santi”, as he knew Cerdán. In a matter of hours, President Navarra saw how two people from her closest circle had been cheating for years through her link with the Guipuzcoan businessman Alonso, who will declare before Judge Leopoldo Puente on the Supreme Court in the Supreme Court as accused.
Alzórriz, administrative training technician, entered Navarra policy through the UGT union, with whom he had been president of the SAS Autosystemtechnik Company Committee. Subsequently, in 2007 he was elected councilor in the City of Burlada, town of the Pamplona region, where he was until 2015, when he made the leap to the Parliament of Navarra. In between, he climbed on the PSN executive, always by the hand of Cerdán and Chivite. First, he was secretary of the Municipal Policy and, when Cerdán accompanied Pedro Sánchez to Ferraz, he stayed as a secretary of Organization in the Regional Community. It was a decisive figure in negotiations and appointments and in the environment of the party they do not hide their fear that more information about it could flourish.
According to Cerdán's statement in the Supreme Court, when Alzórriz arrived at the Ministry of Organization, he did not want to “have” Koldo García. Garcia, although Vizcaíno, was affiliated in Navarra. It began as 'advisor' in this territory. Cerdán, when asked by his own lawyer about the figure of “Ramón”, came to say that Garcia ended up “offended” with Alzórriz for not having him.
In the last Congress of the PSN, Chivite still gave Alzórriz more and placed him as Deputy Secretary General, a step above the organization's responsibility. The right hand of the president for all purposes, Alzórriz has always highlighted for her hard profile, that of those who do not avoid the confrontation and feel comfortable in the melee with the opposition. As spokesman for the Socialist Parliamentary Group, he had to defend the agreements with Geroa Bai (Socialverdes and PNV) and with you/Zurekin (Podemos, IU and others), but above all with EH Bildu, pacts that have been the focus of the criticisms of UPN, which accuses the PSN of “selling” Navarra to the Basque independence.
But his role was much greater than the defense of the pacts. Alzórriz was the person designated by Chivite to lead the negotiations of the coalition government in the summer of 2023, which aroused the criticisms of his main partner, Geroa Bai, who demanded a direct interlocution with her. He was also in charge of explaining the government agreement to EH Bildu to ensure his support in the form of abstention in the investiture and to lead the negotiations in the shadow with the Abertzale left to evict UPN of the Mayor's Office of Pamplona and boos A veto to negotiate government agreements. In all these negotiations he also played a fundamental role that, as he himself has declared in the Supreme Court, was the one who “piloted” the PSOE conversations with the Abertzale left since in 2016 Alonso presented Arnaldo Otegi in 2016.
But the confidence in him Chivite broke suddenly. Alzórriz had hidden his relationship with Alonso. According to himself, he told the press conference in which he announced that he ceased as Deputy Secretary General of the Party and spokesman for the parliamentary group, it goes back to the Mina Muga project, the first business in which Cerdán and García established contacts with ACCIONA through another investigated entrepreneur, which was a manager in Navarra de la Multinational, Fernando Merino. According to the UCO, Cerdán and García made efforts so that the Geolcali company, in collaboration with Action and Servinabar 2000, achieved the permits of the Navarre administration, whose president was then Uxue Barkos, to boost a mining exploitation of potassa in Sangüesa.
“For my work as the PSN organization secretary I know many entrepreneurs. He worked in Navarra and was one of the people I spoke with. It was a moment of boiling when I met him for the subject of Geolcali, a company that could bring many jobs to Navarra and that could generate wealth to a complex Navarra area,” Alzóriz explained. The politician called the businessman by his first name, “Antxon.”
The former number of the Navarrese socialists thus placed his first contact with Alonso on the same dates that Chivite. But Alonso's relationship with Alzórriz continued and became narrower to the point that, as Alzórriz himself has recognized, he asked him for a position for his partner in Servinabar 2000 because “he had a precarious job” in which he charged a salary “below the minimum interprophcessional salary”. It was then that in 2021 his partner went to work in the Alonso company as a technique for prevention of occupational hazards, without previous experience in those functions, and was in that position until 2024, an issue that hid Chivite. Asked if Cerdán intermediate to get the job, Alzórriz denied that he had something to see and said he did not know that he owned 45% of the company's participations. At the same time, he refused to tell the reasons that led his partner to leave the company.
Given this circumstance that made Chivite's confidence, Alzórriz was forced to resign from the executive of the party and the spokesman of the parliamentary group, although he did not give up his minutes. He said this was the initiative of President Navarra, but has aroused certain misgivings in part of the socialist militancy that he thinks he must leave all his positions, including the parliamentarian. To the internal pressures, of course, the external ones are added.
The doubts and concerns inside and outside Navarro socialism around their figure are fed in recent days due to information that link some reform works of their private home with those of the PSN headquarters and awarding of the Navarrese Government without contest for the remodeling of the Sendaviva Natural Park after the fires that razed Navarra in the summer of 2022. All those works were in charge of the company. Irregularity in the adjudication of the works, as well as its link with those of the reform of the Socialist Headquarters and the Housing of Alzórriz.
