The former WWE main writer, Vince Russo, recently spoke about the confrontation between Cody Rhodes and Gunther. The two stars will face the Crown Jewel championship.
In Bad Blood 2024, Triple H announced that this year's Premium Crown Jewel event would have the best champions of the company facing each other. Cody Rhodes would face Gunther, while Liv Morgan would face Nia Jax.
While talking in the podcast Legion of RAW , Russo He said the fight would harm the loser. He felt that, although WWE wanted to face his most important champions, the champion who lost the match would look bad. The 63 -year -old veteran did not understand why the company based in Stamford wanted Cody Rhodes or Gunther to lose a fight at this stage of his career for the title.
“I guess what they are saying is that we are facing our two best fighters to give you a Saudi championship. But, I will say it again, as I say all the time, what does that do for the loser? Not only what does it do for the loser, why would you want to hurt a champion?” Said Vince Russo.
