AEW has seen a good amount of former WWE superstar make the leap to his roster, some thriving and others struggling to find his place. Unfortunately, Miro, who was the Rusev in the WWE, seems to fall into the last category.
After a very publicized debut and one Initial race with the TNT championship Miro's time in AEW has been less than ideal, since it has been largely marginalized and forgotten. Now, it seems that he has had enough and wants to leave Tony Khan's company.
According to a report from Fightful Select From Sean Ross Sapp, Miro has officially requested his Liberation from AEW.
“I look, previously Rusev, has asked for all Elite Wrestling,” SAPP revealed in the report.
Miro's last fight in AEW and lack of action in the ring in 2024
Miro has not fought a single fight for AEW in 2024, and his last appearance in the ring was a victory in AEW Worlds End in December 2023. The sources indicate that I look initially out of play more time than AEW anticipated after that fight, but has been authorized to compete for a long time. Creative struggles between Miro and AEW's management

Miro initially signed with AEW in September 2020, and although his contract was originally going to expire in the spring of 2022, he signed an extension of four years that could keep it in the company until the spring of 2026.
