Although they are not exactly Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth, Rhea Ripley and Dominick Mysterio were one of the most entertaining wrestling couples on screen.
The unconventional chemistry of the couple, although purely plot, was undeniable. Now that they are in a love of lovers, Ripley will challenge the new tempting “Dirty Dom”, Liv Morgan, for the World Women's Championship in Bad Blood on Saturday, October 5.
Ripley appeared in the character of “The Wrestling Classic” to promote combat, and also referred to the intense “problems with her father” of Mysterio, whom he came to know so intimately during the time they were together.
“It shows that a man has problems with his father when he gets excited so much when they call him 'Papi',” said Ripley. “He simply has family problems, let's be honest. Because now he says I made him call me 'Mommy', he never liked to call me 'Mommy'. That is, you have problems, friend, because that came up with you alone.”

When the saga of Mysterio and Ripley began, Adam “Edge” Copeland was still in the company. Edge had recently been expelled from The Judgment Day, the faction he originally founded. With Finn Balor newly added to the group, the remaining members of Judgment Day aggressively recruited Mysterio, which led to his formal inclusion in “WWE RAW” after Clash of the Castle.
That night, Ripley put his arm around Mysterio and things took off from there. Although Ripley and Mysterio's relationship is over, Ripley still believes that it was the right time for Mysterio to launch on his own.
“Dom had to get out of king's shadow,” he said. “King was choosing Edge about his own son … I think King was wrong. But at the same time, I think Dom has done a lot of damage.”
