Talking about the fight in itself, Kevin Nash explained:
“We sat down with Piper and Flair and said: 'We can't start this strong angle tonight. We have to book that for the PPV in Moline.' We all agreed that. But when we left, Piper attacked immediately. It was the opposite of what we had planned.”

In turn, remembering what happened once the fight ended, Roddy Piper told:

Before these words, Piper replied:
