After Wrestlemania 40, Roman Reigns disappeared from the WWE programming and, in his absence, only Sikoa established a new Bloodline, formed by himself, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu. In Summerslam 2024, Reigns returned to the WWE squad and, although it is one of the best blue brand babyfaces, it does not have a world title, a marked deviation of the last four years.

Recently, the member of the WWE Hall of Fame Paul Heyman sat down with Newsweek to discuss the possibilities of history for a title reigns and how he could face the new Sikoa Bloodline.

“Until (Summerslam 2024), you had never seen Roman Reigns in a television program without being the champion,” Heyman began. “He has been the champion throughout this race. The whole story of Bloodline has been with Roman Reigns as a champion.”

Reigns awarded the Universal Championship in Payback 2020, just one week after his return in Summerslam. Since then to Wrestlemania 40, in 2024, Reigns has had at least one world title. Now, without a title, Reigns and Sikoa are on a much more even playing field, essentially cornering Reigns.

“Now we are in a new era of the story of Bloodline with Roman Reigns without being the champion. How do you correct that? How do you recover the name of tribal chief? Who is the leader of the table, alone or Roman Reigns?” Heyman continued. “Jimmy is not here. Jey is not here. The Wiseman has not yet returned. How Lidia Roman Reigns with that on her own? … Is this a story of revenge like an old Spaghetti Western where a man returns, cleanses the village and comes?” Heyman asked. “Or is it a revenge story where you can't do it alone, even if you have to do it? What are the turns and turns that occur then?”

Paul Heyman says he is still to be told in the story of Roman Reigns and the Bloodline

Heyman has been remarkably absent from the current programming of Bloodline, but hinted that Bloodline's narrative is expected to be a long -term issue, what Heyman finds exciting.

“We have a long way ahead,” said Heyman. “All I can say is that, in my opinion, the trajectory that will follow and the many ways in which we can address it will be fascinating and I hope that our last four years of work will be ridiculous.”
