He Manresa City Council will appoint this Wednesday favorite son of the city to Pere Miró Sellarésformer high manager of the International Olympic Committee. The last time this distinction was granted was in 1979, to the pharmacist Antoni Esteve Subirana. The appointment was approved unanimously by all municipal groups, following a proposal of the Manresa Swimming Clubin which Miró began his relationship with sport.
