Judge Ángel Hurtado has agreed to suspend the deadlines of the case for the filtration of an email from Isabel Díaz Ayuso while the Supreme Court studies the processing of the two prosecutors investigated. The magistrate, with the investigation already finished, has accepted an appeal of Pilar Rodríguez, provincial prosecutor of Madrid, and has suspended all the deadlines while the Court Appeals Chamber studies the resources that both she and the Attorney General presented against their processing.
The judge's movement, in practice, implies that oral trial will not be opened against them until the Appeals Chamber makes a decision on processing. “It seems reasonable that the objections raised in the instruction phase should be resolved,” explains Hurtado. In recent weeks, after processing, both Alberto González Amador and the rest of the accusations have submitted writings asking for up to four years in jail, in the case of the employer, for the Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz.
