
J Balvin He surprised his followers on Thursday with the unexpected launch of 'Mixteip', a project of Ten songs with which the Colombian artist returns to his reggaeton rootswhile expanding the limits of gender with new international mergers and collaborations.
'Mixteip' marks a new creative stage for the artist, who combines classic sounds with risky bets.
The main theme, 'Zun Zun', together with the American Justin Quiles and Puerto Rican Lenny Tavárez, evokes the essence of the novel reggaeton both in sound and aesthetics.
His video clip, recorded with a 1993 camera and set at a homemade party, was released on MTV and projected on Times Square's screens in New York.
The album also includes outstanding collaborations such as 'Mystery', a fusion between reggaeton and sauce in which the Legend Gilberto Santa Rosa, and 'UUU' participates, in which Balvin joins forces with the British Stormzy in a rhythm reminiscent of Hip Hop of 2010.
Another new one is 'PQBL', a romantic theme in which he recovers the so -called verse “thought he had forgotten you, but they put the song”, winking to the success 'The song'.
In addition to the new songs, Mixteip recovers songs already known as 'KLK', with the omega merengue icon, and 'River'.
The album closes with the introspective theme entitled 'Where is Jose?'
This launch comes after Balvin's participation in the mid -time show of the 2025 Club World Cup and before his presentations at festivals such as the Low Beach Fest in Mexico and the Summer Sonic of Japan.
With 'Mixteip', Balvin reaffirms his place as One of the most influential artists of contemporary Latin musicbetting on reinvention without neglecting its roots.
