Colombia had its best presentation at the Male Volleyball U-19 World Cup, but it was not enough to achieve victory.
The national team fell 3-2 against the United States in an intense Tie-Break, leaving sensations found: showed character, heart and better attitude than in its two previous games, but the lack of forcefulness in the closures and the little experience in this type of encounters weighed in the final result.
The development of the party was changing. The United States took the first 25-19 set taking advantage of a mental disconnection from Colombia, which later responded with its first set won in the tournament (25-19). The third was again in the hands of the American team (25-18), but those led by Colombia forced a fifth set after an exciting 32-30. In the tiebreaker, the American experience inclined the balance with a definitive 15-9. In total, Colombia scored 103 points, with Ortiz Maicol as an offensive figure by adding 25.
Despite the progress, several shortcomings were exposed: errors in key moments and deficiencies in the blockade.
The next appointment will be this Monday, July 28 in front of Cuba at 10:00 am (Colombian time), with transmission through the Volleyball World YouTube channel.
