An initiative that has been fulfilled thanks to the participation of ACB clubs for the creation of the new competition, aimed at enhance the lower categories of basketball and improve sports training at the highest level. The competition will start on October 10 and will last until May 17, 2026date that will close with a final at 6 to decide the first champion. Regarding the format of the U Liga, between the two groups a minimum of 24 games and a maximum of 33 in eight months of competition, always taking care of compatibility with academic training.

La Liga U: Tournament format

In one First phase, between October 10 and January 4the teams of each group will play with each other (14 days). At the end of this initial round, the first classified of Group B will go to A, where the 8th will go down, and a single match will be played between the 2nd and 3rd of the B against the 7th and 6th of the A, respectively.

The winners of the players will complete group A in a second phase between January 16 and April 19, in which the teams of each group will play another 14 days. The first four of the group will advance to the final at 6and the last two places will leave a decisive play-in a single match with 5th and 6th of group A against 2nd and 1st of Group B, respectively.

The final at 6 will be played between May 15 and 17 in a headquarters to be determined, with three qualifiers to decide the first champion.
