The forward of Casademont Zaragoza and the Spanish team Santiago Yusta declared this Friday, in the concentration of the national team: “I have to give that plus that others do not give to win a place at the Eurobasket”.
The forward of Casademont Zaragoza completed this Friday the training with the Eurobasket 2025 selection in the Triangulo de Oro Sports Center, in Madrid, a day before traveling to Malaga where the team will play the first friendlies prior to the continental championship.
“I am in that line between yes and the no, so I have to give that extra that others may not give to win the attention of Sergio (Scariolo, coach) and being able to be in the Eurobasket, ”he said
“You have to put the machine to work little by little. We start softer, without contact, but we have already uploaded the intensity and the truth is that very well,” said Yusta, about the beginning of the concentration.
“Especially to take another step in defense, which is perhaps my weakest point. And also dare more in attack, have more ball and be myself, ”he said.
Regarding the competition to enter the final list, he was direct, he declared: “It is very expensive to enter. I have to give 100% in each training, in each preparation match. I can't leave anything”.
On the group's profile, Yusta believes in the strength of the collective, highlighting the young talent: “Not everyone has the same talent, that's true. We come from a generation that was pure talent. But adding what we have with the desire and effort, we have a very good combination.”
