Lyme's disease
According to the Mayo Clinic, it is a disease caused by a bacterium called Borrelia, which humans contract through the bite of a tick.
The worst symptoms of the disease usually appear between 3 and 10 weeks after the bite, although in some cases they can occur months or even years later.
These include rashes along the body, pain and stiffness in the neck, muscle weakness in the face, irregular heartbeat, pain and weakness in the hands and feet, and even loss of vision.
In some cases, Lyme's disease can cause symptoms that appear and disappear over years.
It is a particularly frequent condition in northeastern US states like New York, where there is a large population of black leg ticks
By revealing his condition, Justin Timberlake said: “If you have suffered this disease or know someone who has suffered it, then you know that living with it can be very weakening, both mentally and physically.”
Other artists, such as Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne and Shania Twain have also suffered Lyme's disease.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States, patients treated with antibiotics in the early stages of infection (until week 10 after chopping) usually recover quickly and completely.
And most patients treated in more advanced stages also respond well to antibiotics, but may have suffered long -term damage in the nervous system or joints.
