Dominick Reyes has recovered his magic before his possible tie for the title against Carlos Ulberg.

Reyes (14-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) faces Ulberg (12-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) in the main 205-pound event of UFC Fight Night On September 27 from the RAC Arena in Perth in Western Australia.

The semi-dompleted weight champion Ankalaev (21-1-1 MMA, 12-1 UFC) will face Alex Pereira (12-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) in the star fight of UFC 320 On October 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. With Jiri Prochazka facing Khalil Rountree on the same billboard, Reyes admits that he could have to wait for his opportunity if he surpasses Ulberg.

But having trained before with Pereira, Reyes prefers to fight Ankalaev, a confrontation he likes for him.

«Without a doubt, I would prefer to fight Ankalaev. Honestly, I feel that Ankalaev and I seem a lot, but I am better. We have a very similar fighting style. I think it is almost the same, but he is a little more technical than me in terms of patience, and I am more willing to launch my attack.

Reyes admits that the approach of Pereira in his defeat for the title against Ankalaev at UFC 313 in March.

«I think it will be different, since Alex has had free time and had time to prepare better. He fought, how many? Four times in a year? I think losing that fight forced him to strive more. I think it will be a different fight. Alex has worked a lot and is very concentrated.

Do not be misunderstood: Ankalaev is a very good fighter. Alex was dazzled in the last fight, which is rare. He did not press the trigger, something uncommon in him. Perhaps it was the movement of Ankalaev and his threat of demolition that kept Alex on the defensive.
