Antonio Hidalgo, coach of the RC Deportivo, hopes that his team can retain “a long time” the young Yeremay Hernández and David Mella, two key pieces in the ascent from the first federation and the subsequent consolidation in professional football last year.
“Today, everyone knows that it is spoken, knows that these offers are there. But Fernando Soriano was very clear the other day. We have a huge affection for both of them, they are players who feel the shield and give everything until the last minute they are here,” said the sports technician at a press conference.
Mella has received in recent days an offer from Al Ahli Saudi that quadruples her salary in Riazor. Yeremay, after rejecting in June leaving as Italian, has recently been tempted by the Sporting of Lisbon, which has transferred an offer close to 30 million euros for the Sub-21 International. The club, however, will only let them out for the amount of their termination clause, which was not revealed after the extension of the contract, last June, to the Canarian player.

“We will have to help them manage that amount of information and noise, make them see that we are by their side and that we want them to be with us a lot of time,” said Hidalgo.
The Huesca Exto Technician believes that sports management has won “a lot” in signings because they have allowed him to make “a quality and character leap”, although he admitted that he still expects more reinforcements in the line of attack.
“It is an evidence that we are going to bring someone at the top. We will see if one or two. We are open to any possibility, but the players will come when they have to come,” he said.
