The American fighter of World Wrestling Council and current Historic World Champion of Medium Weight, Flip Gordonhe underwent surgery.
► Flip Gordon had a successful surgical operation
It was on August 1, when in the course of the special fight of the spectacular Friday of Arena Mexico, Flip Gordon was injured his knee. The fighter participated in a team struggle next to Captain Suicida and Star Jr, facing Douki and the Samurais demons (Okumura and Yutani).
Given the intensity of the shares, Gordon suffered a breakdown of the patellar tendon of the right knee, which prevented him from continuing in the fight and left the ring on a stretcher, leaving his team at a disadvantage, which caused the end to end up falling to the Japanese third.
Flip Gordon manifested on his social networks that surgery was subjected to rebuild the broken tendon, specifying that it is the first surgical intervention to which he undergoes his life.
Flip Gordon expressed about his surgery:
After a few days of sharing incredible news, unfortunately I have to share some difficult news.
The patellar tendon of my right knee broke in the middle of an encounter and literally exploded. Then they operated for the first time in my life … and fortunately, it was a success.
I am more than grateful to the CMLL for doing everything possible to ensure that I received immediate attention, and with the incredible medical team that made this surgery possible.
The way to recovery begins now …
It is worth mentioning that the recovery of an injury of this nature may take several months to one year, depending on the seriousness of the breakage and the treatment received. Tendon healing can take 6 to 12 weeks, and the return to normal activities, including sports, can take between 6 and 12 months.
The CMLL has not manifested regarding the title that Gordon possesses, but it is unlikely that they can declare it vacant since many of its championships are not exposed frequently. Flip Gordon has been with three successful defenses for 274 days. It was recently revealed that the American fighter signed a multiannual contract with the CMLL.
