The competition started from the Albacete town of Ontur, where the presentation of teams and the protocol cutting of tape with the authorities were carried out. The 118 runners of 17 teams were launched at 10 am to complete the 153 kilometers of the first stage of the Tour of Castilla-La Mancha Leader Male. On the tour, several regions of the province of Albacete have been crossed in which several local action groups have collaborated: the Association of Rural Development of the Sierra de Alcaraz and Campo de Montiel (Sacam); the Association for the Promotion of the Development of the Region Campos de Hellín; and the local action group Sierra del Segura.

He quickly opened distance, only with Miguel Moya (High Level Gsport) being able to reach his height just when crowning, in that order, the rise of crucetillas.

That duo achieved more than 1 minute of margin, the Ascension of Barrancazo exceeded without difficulty, while behind they failed to reduce the advantage. Thus, they reached the last two kilometers with a powerful attack by Miguel Moya that would be worth to open almost 30 seconds in the finish line of the Plaza Mayor de Alcaraz. He maintained the second Fajardo position, while Emilio Llopis (High Level Gsport) completed the podium of the day 51 seconds from the winner.

In the awards ceremony of the first stage of the Tour of Castilla-La Mancha Leader were the mayor of Alcaraz, Pedro Jesús Valero; the general director of Sports, Carlos Yuste; the deputy mayor and councilor of Culture and Sports, Yolanda Ballesteros; the councilor of celebrations, Francisco Muñoz; the representative of the Local Action Group Sacam, Ángel Pretel; and the president of the Federation of Cycling of Castilla-La Mancha, Vicente Alumbreros.

The first crimson red leader of the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha corresponds to Miguel Moya (High Level Gsport); Like the green jersey by points. A single mountain level will be played at kilometer 3, at the exit of Ruidera; while there will be two flying goals in Cózar (Km 45) and in Juan Abad tower (km 68).

The municipalities of Carrizosa, Villanueva de los Infantes, Almedina, Cozar, Torre de Juan Abad and Castellar de Santiago, where this stage will end.
