
The Norwegian sprinter Søren Wærenskjold (one-X Mobility) won on Wednesday the prologue stage of the 40th edition of the return to Germany, in a short counter of 3.1 kilometers played in the town of Essen, to dress the first yellow jaw of the test.
Wærenskjold, Norwegian counterreloj champion in 2023, who registered the lowest time of the chrono (3:31), resisted at the top of the classification and was not surpassed by any of the favorites to take the victory: Waut van Aert Tenth to six.
