Colombian tennis player Daniel Galán took a firm step towards the main picture of the US Open, the fourth and last Grand Slam of the season, defeating the American Patrick Maloney in the second round of the qualifying phase.
The match was played on court 17 of the Billie Jean King complex, in New York, where Galán, currently in 134th position of the individual ranking of the ATP, started as the clear favorite against Maloney, who is in position 324.
