Without Milei, without Meloni, without Orbán, the act of Patriots – the largest right -wing group in the European Parliament – did not go from being a Vox rally in Madrid. A body, that of Charlie Kirk, was more important than the living who did not attend. It served to harangue the masses. The star was a 31 -year -old born in Illinois and killed a shot in the neck in Utah on September 10. He was one of the most effective propagandists of Donald Trump's cause and friend of his eldest son and vice president, JD Vance. Vox adopted him as a martyr of his own cause, as it is for the Republican right in the US.

Vox Spanishized Kirk starting the act with the song of 'Death is not the end', which is the anthem used by the armed forces to honor the fallen. For Vox, everything is a war and the North American, which extended a reactionary message through all the universities of the country, was one of theirs. His murder would be part of a conspiracy. “Charlie's murder is not an isolated case. It is proof that the left does not give up violence,” said Santiago Abascal. He justified the phrase with the murder of Government presidents in the past – Blanco Carrero was the last – and with the crimes of ETA.

Charlie Kirk was a symbol that Vox was not going to waste. The truth is that the young Trumpist had a speech that Abascal would subscribe for the most part. Kirk argued that the racist theory of the great replace It is “reality.”

Abascal presented his party as a victim of everyone else, which is something that always excites the followers, because it makes them feel as if they were brave. “They don't kill us for being fascists. They call us fascists to kill us,” he said for shouts. It is an idea copied from a message that held Elon Musk The day before with the difference of using the word 'Nazi' instead of 'fascist'. The attendees who filled the Vistalegre palace applauded to rage, although none of them could give a single example of a vox voter that has been killed for being.

Foreign guests remained delighted that line, some with a sinister point. Rafael López Aliaga, mayor of Lima and member of Opus Dei, offered his fundamentalist vision. “The left is evil. M, point. A, point. L, point.” On Kirk's death, he said that “they have created (in the first person of the plural, because the culprit is the entire left) a legion of people who will continue to martyrdom.” The language of death was very present throughout the act.

Javier Milei entered video from Argentina. The recent electoral defeat in Buenos Aires has convinced him that he cannot spend so much time out of the country entertained by his fans. He intervened for five minutes reading a written text to meet the file without any of the follies that characterize it. He called “Mártir de la Libertad” to Kirk, as other speakers did.

Meloni and Orbán sent recorded messages on video of little duration. For Abascal, it was a success that the Italian Prime Minister offered a few words in an act of a group of the European Parliament to which its party does not belong. Meloni received no applause when he affirmed the “right of the Palestinians to have their own state and the Israelis to live in peace.”

The great success of those out was taken by the Portuguese André Ventura, leader of Chega. He is the one who gave the public what he wanted. Everything that was to propitiate the insults to Sánchez was well received. “If it were Prime Minister of Spain, that I will not be, the first measure I would take would be the one that was, but Pedro Sánchez to the jail,” he proclaimed. What else did the public who sang the ultra cry of “Pedro Sánchez, son of a bitch.” Abascal has other ideas in this regard, because he said later that “the summer song should have been 'Pedro Sánchez, chulus of whores'.” And this is the people who affirm that the left is a threat to democracy.

Ventura also said that I was very happy with Vox for another matter: “What they have done in Murcia gives me a tremendous pride.” Obviously, he referred to manifestations against immigrants.

It was the central theme of Abascal's speech, as it is in almost all the speeches of Vox leaders. They think that the rejection of foreigners is a winning letter, as was their departure for that reason for the autonomic governments presided by the PP. The surveys are right. Voters have had to take note. That does not leave in good place the interpretations made by some media and experts, according to which Vox rises in intention to vote for other issues that are not immigration.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo's attempt to radicalize his speech on immigration, which already started before summer, has not worked. Rather it seems to have strengthened Vox. The PP has abandoned the entelechy that it could obtain support from former socialist voters and discover, according to those polls, that it can lose a million votes to the extreme right.

Abascal constantly alluded to the “invasion” that says that Europe is suffering. He referred several times to the “Brussels Caliphate”, a certainly imaginative way of calling European institutions, as responsible for “promoting” that occupation. He differentiated them from the “legal” immigrants, ignoring that many of them arrived in Europe without papers. He reiterated that the Open Arms ship must “confiscate and sink it.” He did not have mercy on the Church: “We are the homilies of the bishops,” he told them and accused them of forgetting “Christian murders in Africa.” Everyone who speaks in favor of immigration is a traitor to the homeland, for Vox.

The PP prefers not not to pole directly with Abascal and Vox, either because it does not dare or because it fears losing more votes. Aspires that voters appreciate the differences alone. Abascal does not have so many scruples. He accused the PP of always accepting all the laws approved by the left: “They are willing to agree with Satan.” The Feijóo party denies it practically every day in Spanish politics. Now they will meet again to see how they face the threat of Vox, because the more they ignore them, the more they grow.
