The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has questioned this Wednesday “how many democratic governments would support having a direct relative on the bench?” After Judge Juan Carlos Peinado has communicated to Begoña Gómez his intention to be judged by embezzlement before a popular jury. The magistrate has transferred the wife of the president of the Government, his assistant Cristina Álvarez and the delegate Francisco Martín that the process against them will continue, if it opens an oral trial, before a group of citizens, and has summoned all three in their court this Saturday afternoon to inform them. “The rhythm to which the Judicial Agenda of the Government, the party and the family of Sánchez is unbearable,” said Feijóo in an appearance before the press in Congress. “The scandals happen almost every day,” he added, to explain that “the brother will sit on a bench for the unanimous decision of four magistrates of the Provincial Court of Badajoz. Alberto González Amador will be tried for defrauding 350,000 euros to the Public Treasury, in addition to documentary falsehood and belonging to criminal organization.
Feijóo has assured that “private matters are decided in court”, while “public, affecting public administrations, must first be resolved in political responsibilities.”
The PP leader has concluded: “If a deputy has his wife in a court, you have to ask for the minutes, be the party any.”
