In an exclusive interview with the BBC journalist Lyse Doucet, Saeed Khatibzadeh said that if the US enters to participate in the war between Israel and Iran, there will be “a hell throughout the region” and added that, if President Donald Trump decides to intervene directly in the conflict, he will be remembered for having participated in “a war that was not his war”.

Trump announced Thursday that he will decide in the next two weeks if his country is directly involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran, according to the White House.

More than 270 people were injured in Israel after the launch of a series of missiles by Iran this Thursday, according to the Israeli Ministry of Health.

One of those missiles hit one of the main hospitals in southern Israel, causing great damage, according to Israeli authorities.
