The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has decreed the orange alert on the northern and southern coast of the province of Alicante and will be in force throughout the day today and tomorrow in the northern third but, starting at 10:00 a.m., the warning will become rojo in the southern region.
According to the forecast, the red alert can leave up to 180 liters per square meter in 12 hours, mainly affecting the southern half.
The municipalities affected by the red alert are concentrated in the southern coastline that extends from Marina Baixa to Vega Baja.
