The XVII Congress of the Andalusian PP – which is held from Friday to Sunday at the Seville Conference Center – has started on the same day that negotiations between PP and Vox formally begin to elect Carlos Mazón's replacement as president of the Valencian Community.
Mazón, for obvious reasons, is not invited to the conclave from which the president of the Andalusian PP, then president of the Board, Juan Manuel Moreno, will be elected. But the shadow of Vox is going to fly over a Congress designed as a launching pad for its leader and candidate for reelection in the regional elections that will be held in a few months, in the spring of 2026. The attendance of two other territorial barons, Fernando López Miras from Murcia and the president of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, was planned to attend, but she canceled on the same Saturday morning “for health reasons due to a slight indisposition.”
