Until this moment, AEW Chief Tony Khan said that he and Sting have not talked about the induction of Lex Luger to the WWE Hall of Fame.

In March, news arose that Luger and his nearby informed WWE that his ally and friend of a long time was his favorite choice to induce him during the Wrestlemania 41 weekend in Las Vegas.

Khan was asked about the situation during a call with the media on Thursday. He said he spoke with Sting before the March Revolution and recalled some “great memories”, but the possible induction never arose.

“The last time I talked to Sting, that didn't come out. I would have to talk to him about it,” he said.

Sting is currently under contract with AEW and, given the relationship between WWE and AEW, it is not clear what would be needed for Khan to grant permission.

Luger, who is under a WWE legends agreement, was allowed in Sting Retirement Combat in the 2024 Revolution, but WWE ordered not to appear in Chamber. AEW allowed Billy Gunn to attend the ceremony of the WWE Hall of Fame of 2019 when DX was induced, but Paul “Triple H” mild mildly joked during the ceremony saying that Vince McMahon would buy that “small insignificant company” only to fire Gunn again.

This year's ceremony will take place at 1 in the morning, Eastern time/10 in the morning, Pacific time, on Friday, April 18.
