D-Von Dudley made a name in Paul Heyman's ECW promotion before joining WWE in 1999. In a new video, the 52-year-old man talked openly about his tense relationship with New Jack.

New Jack, whose real name was Jerome Young, became synonymous with ECW during his time in the company between 1995 and 2001. In 2021, the wrestling legend died at age 58 after suffering a heart attack.

Dudley revealed on her YouTube channel that she made the peace with New Jack shortly before the death of her ex -companion of work:

“It was unfortunate that New Jack died, and although people knew that New Jack and I had some problems over the years, just before he died, we actually reconcile. We basically solved a lot of that.” (4:03 – 4:18)

New Jack was known for his hardcore fighting style. He won the World Championship in ECW couples twice with Mustafa Saed and once with John Kronus.

D-Von Dudley explains your real life conflict with New Jack

The former WWE Vince McMahon president wanted The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) changed his outfit after joining his company. Inspired by the fame hall team The Bushwhackers, they decided to change their ring attire dyed for camouflage clothes.

D-Von Dudley added that New Jack, who used a similar outfit, thought that former ECW stars had stolen the idea:

“One of the problems that I know about my mind is that New Jack thought we actually copied his ring outfit, and later we told him that it had nothing to do with that. Vince did not want the ECW look in WWE. I no longer wanted the overalls and the dyed shirt. (4:20 – 4:50)

Dudley also admitted that he intensified the animosity when referring to New Jack in a rap song on a WWE album in 2004.
