Abdullah The Butcher dedicated his body to the entertainment of professional wrestling fans for decades, and his body truly paid the price for it, since he has been dealing with health problems. That said, there is good news: he has revealed that he is making great progress in his recovery.
Abdullah The Butcher had been in a wheelchair for years and needed daily assistance. Now he lives with her friend Malika, who helps take care of him. Abdullah published a Video on Facebook thanking those who have supported it.
Abdullah gave a special thanks to Chris Jericho and Diamond Dallas Page, explaining that Jericho connected him with Page, whose DDP Yoga program has helped in his recovery.
“Diamond, this is for you. For what you have done for me, I appreciate it. Chris Jericho, thank you very much – I thank you. I think of you all the time. If it were not for people like Miss Malika and her son, I would be on the street.”
Miss Malika revealed that she can stop now, raise her arms and even start dressing only again, things she couldn't do before. Malika also praised his progress, saying that he can now put on clothes without help. He thanked DDP, noting that doctors avoided greater surgery due to Abdullah's age, but he has still achieved incredible recovery.
“We want everyone to see it. I couldn't lift your arms, put on your coat or change your clothes. Now, you can take off your shirt and put it on. You can even wear your pants without assistance. I want to thank DDP because when you help AB, you're helping me. The second time they did surgery, they didn't want to do a greater operation for their age. And I now look at it – the bleeding ulcer was treated.”
Abdullah The Butcher recovery is a powerful example of perseverance, support and impact of rehabilitation. With legends like Chris Jericho and Diamond Dallas Page helping him, his trip demonstrates how valuable loyalty and goodness within the wrestling community can be.
