Sting currently has a contract with AEW. However, new details have emerged about the possibility of attending the WWE 2025 Hall of Fame.
Recently, WWE announced that Lex Luger would be induced to this year's hall. This generated many questions about who should induce the veteran. Many people believed that it should be Sting, given their history together. Luger and The Icon spent several years on WCW, where they were teammates for a considerable period. These two athletes were fundamental in the other races. Therefore, The Vigilante seemed the ideal choice to induce Luger in the 2025 hall class.
Although The Icon withdrew from the competition in the ring last year, signed a several years with AEW, similar to a WWE legends agreement. This has generated concerns about whether the 65 -year -old man could attend the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame Ceremony.
According to Fightful Select reports, the natural choice to induce Lex Luger to the Hall of Fame is his teammate and a long -time friend, Sting. It was also reported that The Icon had signed an agreement with AEW after withdrawing from the competition in the ring. However, it was not clear if Tony Khan would need to approve that The Icon possibly induced his long -standing friend.
The report also added that WWE was planning to make this happened, since Luger had already informed WWE to The Vigilante It is your favorite choice.
Konnan believes that Tony Khan should allow Sting to attend the WWE 2025 Hall of Fame
There is no doubt that AEW and WWE are not in the best terms with each other. Tony Khan has launched criticism and accusations against the headquarters in Stamford over the years. Consequently, many believe that Khan will not allow The Ion to attend the ceremony of the WWE Hall of Fame to induce Lex Luger.
Konnan addressed this issue in his podcast Keepin’ It 100 Officialwhere he said that AEW's boss already had a lot of rejection for several things he had done. And therefore, if you do not allow Sting to induce Lex Luger, he will only worsen things for him.
“He gets angry, but he doesn't show it, brother. He tries to be a good guy. As, you know, 'I'm really a good boy'. But at the end of the day, if people find out … he already has a lot of rejection for doing stupid things. He didn't let Sting indurate Lex Luger, how much rejection do you think he would receive?” Konnan said. (1:26 – 1:46)
