There has been speculation about whether an AEW veteran could appear on WWE television. Konnan believes that Tony Khan could be forced to send this veteran to the headquarters in Stamford.
Sting became an integral part of AEW's television during the last years of his career. However, he first won recognition for his time on WCW, where he was the company's main babyface and a long -term rival of NWO. During his time on WCW, Sting formed a strong friendship with Lex Luger, who was also an outstanding babyface in the promotion. Sting and Luger joined several times and maintained a solid friendship over the years.
Recently, it was revealed that Lex Luger will be induced to the WWE Hall of Fame this year. This generated a lot of speculation about who should induce Luger to the Hall of Fame. Many people suggested that Sting should be the one who did. However, the possibility of this is limited due to the Sting Association with Tony Khan and AEW.
Speaking in his official podcast Keepin 'It 100, Konnan believes that Tony Khan must allow Sting to induce Luger to the Hall of Fame, or he could face a significant reaction:
“He gets angry, but he doesn't show it, Brother. He tries to be a good guy. As, you know, 'I'm really a good boy'. But at the end of the day, if people discover … he already has a lot of rejection for doing stupid things. If he doesn't let Sting induce Lex Luger, how much rejection do you think he would receive?” (1:26 – 1:46)
Dutch Mantell believes that Tony Khan should hire Carmella
Carmella was once one of the main stars of WWE's female division. He won the Money In the Bank briefcase and then reached it to become the women's SmackDown champion. Her personality and charisma made her a fans favorite. Despite his rising career, he had to take time out of the ring when she became pregnant in 2023. Since then, she has not been seen on WWE television, and recently it was revealed that WWE chose not to renew her contract.
Speaking in his podcast Story Time with Dutch Tencl, WWE's former manager addressed Carmella's situation and suggested that there are other wrestling companies to which he could join, as AEW:
“I hope he is happy, but I don't think he is being at home without doing anything. And he doesn't want to go looking for a job. I mean, that would be below her. But there are other wrestling companies out there,” he said. (47:35 onwards)
It will be interesting to see if the fighter goes to AEW, although a former fighter commented that she made an error in appearing in a podcast after her departure from the WWE.
