The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said Monday that Israel and Iran have agreed to a “full and total fire”, something that has not yet been confirmed by either of the two countries.
“Israel and Iran have fully agreed that there will be a high and complete fire (within approximately 6 hours, when Israel and Iran have finished their ongoing final missions), for 12 hours, at which time the war will be considered to be over,” wrote the president in his social social network.
According to the president, the high fire will be gradually implemented during the next 24 hours.
“Officially, Iran will begin the stop on fire and, at 12 noon, Israel will start the stop to fire and, at 24 hours, the world will officially celebrate the end of the 12 -day war. During each high to the fire, the other part will remain peaceful and respectful,” Trump wrote.
The news is known hours after Iran launched a missile attack against an American base in Qatar, in response to US attacks to its nuclear facilities on Saturday.
The missiles, which caused the closure of the Qatari airspace, were intercepted in their entirety and were not injured or dead, according to the authorities of Qatar and the USA.
In the message in which he announced the cessation to the fire, Trump also wrote: “Assuming that everything works as it should, and so it will be, I would like to congratulate both countries.”
“This is a war that could have lasted for years and destroyed all the Middle East, but did not, and will never do it!”, Said the president in his publication.
The United States joined Israel on Saturday in its military offensive against Iran, attacking three Iranian nuclear facilities, which meant a significant escalation in the Middle East conflict
Both the Israeli government and the American say that their goal with these attacks is to stop the Iranian nuclear program, noting that Tehran was close to getting a nuclear weapon, something that has not been confirmed by Western intelligence agencies.
On June 13 Israel began its attacks against Iranian military and nuclear facilities, as well as against high command of the Armed Forces of Tehran and against nuclear scientists, causing the death of hundreds of people, many of them civilians.
In response, Iran has launched missile attacks on the Israeli territory, in which about twenty people and tens have been injured.
