The RockThe Rock

The Rock made his return to WWE last week at SmackDown. The Final Boss called Cody Rhodes before telling The American Nightmare that he wanted him to become 'his champion' and give him 'his soul'. The segment received a mixed reaction from the wrestling community on the Internet.

During a recent edition of Live Q & A in Backstage Pass, Wrestlevotes provided an update on the reaction behind the scene to The Rock segment with Cody Rhodes last week on SmackDown.

“I have not heard that 'unhappiness' is described because of what happened on Friday night. Yes I think there is some concern, especially among some talents that could be affected now that he is back in the game. But I would not say no. And as for what happened on Friday, I think, that is, I have not heard the opposite, that what they had scripted was carried out.

Continuous:

“So, I think what Rock wanted to do was transmitted, and the story he wants to tell about capturing the soul of Cody Rhodes appeared as he wanted. So I have not heard any unhappiness or anything in the style of Friday night.” (From 05:15 onwards)

Seth Rollins confronted WWE's undisputed champion about his interaction with The Rock in Raw's final episode before elimination Chamber 2025.

Both exchanged words in the microphone before The Visionary told Rhodes that he was in his title in Wrestlemania. It remains to be seen if Rollins emerges as the winner this Saturday in Elimination.
