Jeff Cobb (now known as JC Mateo) made his debut in Wwe's ring last night on SmackDown, where he defeated the Knight in an individual fight. Although the star has had a solid start in her career with the global giant, the wrestling veteran Vinceo Russo is not impressed with her presentation so far.
Mateo made his debut at WWE in Backlash, where he helped Jacob Fatu retain the United States championship against Drew McIntyre, the Knight and Damian Priest. He also aligned with only Sikoa in the event, becoming the most recent member of his faction. The Powerhouse was in action on SmackDown, where he defeated Knight in his first fight in the company.
Speaking in BrodawnVince Russo criticized WWE for his presentation by Jeff Cobb, noting that he looks just another fighter in the roster.
“Here is the problem. Again, brother, these are supposed to be stars. They are on television, they are supposed to be stars. So this is the first time, if you do not see backlash, that you see JC Matthew. He has a common name, and is dressed in black. Is this the presentation of a star? This is the first impression that this guy has on television, dressed in black and with a name of any man. (42:47 onwards)
