Sonya Deville was surprised to learn that her contract with WWE would not be renewed. Deville – real name Daria Berenato – was among those who left WWE in a round of Roster cuts earlier this month. Technically it was not released by the company, but they informed him that his contract would not be renewed when he expires in a few weeks.
In a new YouTube video uploaded today, Deville approached his departure for the first time and talked about what comes for her. Deville said he had been in negotiations for a new agreement with WWE and hoped that the phone call he received was about that. Instead, they told him that his contract would not be renewed.
“10 days ago, as many of you know, I received the call. My contract was not going to be renewed with WWE,” said Deville. “I was in Washington, DC for a cheerleader tournament with our little girl. I was running on the exercise track with our older, Giovanna, and I received a phone call. We were in the midst of negotiations, so I thought the call was going to be the midpoint in which we would find ourselves, an agreement, a contract. And it was, 'We are not renewing your contract. So, with total transparency, that this is really the first time I say it, I was surprised. ”
Deville said the news was unexpected because he had been with WWE for 10 years and had a great relationship with everyone. When you work in a place for so long, everyone becomes a family. But she feels only gratitude to WWE for making possible the 10 best years of her life. He loved every minute of his career at WWE and still loves everyone there.
Sonya Deville already has other projects after WWE departure
Deville revealed that he booked his first big film project three days before his contract with WWE was not renewed, so he feels that the moment of everything worked in a serendipic way and the universe is guiding her towards what comes next.
“First it was shock. At first it was like, 'Go.' But then it was almost instantly, my confidence in the universe allowed me to be at peace with that instantly. “Only the way things happened, is there anything more serendipic? Life is too short.
“And I still love everyone there. And I have a great – like, my memory of that place is nothing more than positive. And I want to keep it like this. But also respect that the universe is like, 'hey, that chapter is closed.' ' Right now, forever, whatever, it doesn't matter.
Deville was part of Pure Fusion Collective in the Roster of WWE RAW before his departure. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark are the remaining two members of the faction.
