After many months of rumors and speculation, AEW has fired both Miro and Ricky Starks of the company.

On Monday, Pwinsider reported that AEW and Miro had reached a mutual agreement on their release of the company. It was also noted that Ricky Starks no longer appeared on the page of the company list. Dave Meltzer has since confirmed that both I look and Starks have been released from AEW.

I looked at Rusev at WWE, publicly requested his release in September and has not fought from Worlds End on December 30, 2023. Starks, who has been absent from AEW's programming since March 2024, allegedly requested his release last month, but was denied.

Miro debuted in AEW as the “Wedding Sprain” of Kip Sabian in September 2020. He won the TNT championship in 2021, but was used in moderation in 2022 and 2023 and was not used at all in 2024. Starks debuted in AEW in June 2020 and is a former world champion in FTW and AEW pairs.

Another AEW star also seems to have finished with the company

Malakai Black does not appear on the AEW list page, with reports that indicate that your contract has expired.

Pwinsider informs that Black now is a Libr agentHey his contract with AEW expired yesterday. It was expected for several weeks that Black left AEW. He has not fought for the promotion since November 2024, and his former members of the House of Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart faction, recently separated into their own group with Black out of AEW's programming.
