It is reported that more fighters are abandoning WWE this week as what looks to be a new surrounding release in the company.
Pwinsider and Fightful report that AOP (Rezar & Akam), Paul Ellering and Blair Davenport have been released by WWE. Both also report that Sonya Deville's contract with the company will not be renewed and will become a free agent in a few weeks.
Earlier on Friday, Cedric Alexander announced on social networks that he had been released from WWE and would become a free agent in 90 days.
After being released by the WWE in 2020, AOP was releasing in 2022, but did not return to television until 2023, when they returned with their NXT manager, the member of the Hall of Fame Paul Ellering. They joined forces with Karrion Kross and Scarlett to form The Final Testament. The most prominent moment of his career was in Wrestlemania XL, where they lost to Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits in a street fight in Philadelphia.
Sonya Deville had been with the WWE since 2015 after her performance at Tough Enough that year. He was a female champion in pairs with Chelsea Green, although he later had to leave the title due to an injury. On his return last May, he formed the Pure Fusion Collective with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.
Davenport was called to the main roster in 2024 as part of the WWE Draft that year, but was only used in moderation; His last fight was on television in November.
