WWE fans have not yet officially witnessed the true identity behind the mask of El Gran American. However, in a recent interview, R-Truth shared that she does not believe that a Raw superstar is the masked man.
The great American made his debut in Wrestlemania in Las Vegas last month. He defeated King Fenix in an encounter one against one on the biggest stage of all. American also achieved an important victory over Dragon Lee to capture the Speed championship on May 5, 2025.
Almost everyone has identified the new masked fighter as Chad Gable. However, the leader of American Made has consistently denied his involvement.
In the podcast INSIGHTpresenter Chris Van Vliet mentioned a rumor that suggested that Raw's 39 -year -old superstar was the great American. However, WWE R-Truth's legend quickly dismissed this idea.

Among others, Kurt Angle also shared his opinions about the true identity of El Great American. The WWE Hall of Fame Member discussed this during an interview with the senior editor of Sportskeeda WrestlingBill Apter.
For those who do not know, the introduction of El Grande was highly criticized by WWE's audience in Mexico. They felt that the character was an insult to wrestling. Given these negative receptions of the masked character in the Earth of the Eagle and the snake, Kurt Angle said that he did not believe that Chad Gable was the great American and suggested that the former Alpha Academy leader should avoid visiting Mexico to prevent any possible impact.
