Braun Strowman's future as a competitor in the ring has been in the air since WWE let him go as part of the last round of cuts.
As is often the case with each star released, speculation about the possibility that The Monster of All Monsters will join AEW are abundant. However, those who hope to see him in the headquarters in Jacksonville should not make many illusions.
During a recent question and answers session, Wrestlevotes cited Braun Strowman's 'great contract' as a reason behind his release.
He pointed out that he does not see the former universal WWE champion signing with All Elite Wrestling in the short term.
“I imagine that Braun Strowman had a big contract, and if they are cutting, they are obviously trying to save money, so he was the one who won the most, so they decided that they could get rid of him, unfortunately. As for that he goes to AEW, I don't see him, but if he wants, I am sure he would succeed there.” (From 31:53 to 32:12)
It is said that Strowman was in negotiations with Tony Khan when he was a free agent a few years ago. The conversations apparently did not prosper between the two parties, since Strowman then returned to WWE.
The 41 -year -old giant has not hesitated to launch criticism of AEW. Although in the wrestling business you can never say, it would be a very cold day in hell when Braun Strowman joined WWE's rival promotion.
