A WWE talent will be out for a while after suffering an injury in a recent WWE SmackDown episode and has shared a slumant news about its status.
In an Instagram post of today, Apollo Crews revealed that he is in Birmingham, Alabama, to undergo surgery for a tear in the pectoral. The injury occurred when Crews faced Johnny Gargano in the episode of January 24 of SmackDown. After a moment when Crews was injured as he received a blow to the back, he supported his shoulder during the rest of the fight, but won the victory by making a roll-up to Gargano.
Crews maintains a positive attitude despite the injury and says it is one of those things that are out of their control.
“I'm going to operate today,” Crews wrote. “A few weeks ago in SmackDown, I broke the pectoral, an unfortunate situation. Sometimes, one does everything right, but there are things that escape our control. I am looking forward to facing the path I have ahead, facing it with a positive and unstoppable mentality.”
Crews did not say how long it hopes to get lost, but a tear in the pectoral could potentially mean several months out of action.
