Damian Priest said a personal reason to want to capture an important WWE title in backlash. The live premium event will be broadcast this Saturday night at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jacob Fatu will defend the United States championship in a fatal combat of four corners against Knight, Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest at WWE Backlash 2025. In an interview with News 12The Archer of Infamy revealed that he wanted to win the United States championship to defend him in his hometown in Summerslam later this year.
Summerslam will be two nights this year and will take place at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
“This is going to prepare the stage for what will be the best summerslam of all time. I mean, it is already guaranteed that it will be. So, I hope that in backlash the United States championship can win for the second time. Then follow and defend it, hopefully in Money in the Bank, and then defend it again here in front of my hometown,” he said.

Damian Priest breaks the character to praise a WWE star
Dominik Mysterio captured the intercontinental championship in Wrestlemania 41, and Damian Priest recently broke the character to praise him.
Priest used to be a stable partner at The Judgment Day with Dominik Mysterio, but was betrayed by the faction in Summerslam 2024. In an interview with Adrian Hernandez, The Archer of Infamy felused Mysterio for La Victoria and pointed out that he always had a high opinion of the 28 -year -old as an interpreter.
“Congratulations! All the hatred and everything else, but at first there was love, he was like my younger brother. And yes, things happened, and we had our friction, but I have always thought very well of him as an interpreter, and it was inevitable that this happened. It is what it is,” said Priest.
