It has been a few interesting weeks for WWE after Wrestlemania. Fans have witnessed multiple title changes in recent weeks, and Chelsea Green was one of the champions that lost their gold. Despite sharing an update to say goodbye to the company after losing its women's women's championship last month, Green would have signed a new contract.
Fightful Select recently reported that Green's contract was scheduled to expire at some point in 2025, but she had signed a new several years. It was noted that the exact duration of the new contract is unknown.
Green was the United States champion for more than 130 days and is still in the contest for the title after having lost it to Zelina Vega last month.
After the loss of the title, the Canadian star shared an update in which she said goodbye to WWE before appearing with mourning clothes in SmackDown last week.
Chelsea Green could challenge the US women's championship at WWE Backlash
Chelsea Green urged Piper Nive to face Zelina Vega last week in Smackdown, but despite her interference, she failed to get victory.
It is unlikely that Green stops in his attempt to recover his title and could press for a rematch in Backlash this weekend.
While several women in SmackDown are looking for an opportunity for the United States Women's Championship, Green has become, by far, the most entertaining. He has created his own stable with Niven and Alba Fyre after the latter lost his partner, Dawn Island, who was released from the company earlier this year.
The group is now known as The Secret Hervice and has been dominating SmackDown in recent weeks. It will be interesting if Nick Aldis gives and allows Green to assert his rematch clause against Vega this week in SmackDown, to make the fight in backlash official.
