WWE fans have been excited since the last wave of liberations affected the Roster earlier this week, being the former Nxt Gigi Dolin star one of the names that were fired. Interestingly, WWE did not renew Sonya Deville's contract earlier this year. Many fans now believe that she could meet with her friend long and former teammate, Mandy Rose, outside the company.
The female stars have worked together in the past. Deville and Rose were once part of a faction called Absolute in Raw with Saraya (previously known as Paige). After Paige left the group due to a forced injury retreat in May 2018, the duo renamed the faction as Fire and Desire.
Eventually, they entered a rivalry in the mid -2020, which ended after Mandy Rose defeated Sonya Deville in a “loser leaves WWE” in Summerslam. In July 2021, Mandy returned to NXT and formed the Toxic Attraction group with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. Interestingly, Sonya Deville surprised to go to the aid of her former ally during the rivalry of Toxic Attraction with Alba Fyre in October 2022.
His close friendship with Mandy Rose promoted this action. Rose was surprisingly released in December 2022. The faction was dissolved in February 2023 after Jayne betrayed Dolin. Now that Rose, Deville and Dolin are no longer part of WWE, the door seems to be open so that the trio forms a new version of Toxic Attraction in promotions such as AEW.
It could become one of the most commented female factions in the professional wrestling industry. However, this is mere speculation at this time.
Sonya Deville revealed her problems with WWE's creative
After his departure from the headquarters in Stamford earlier this year, Sonya Deville spoke about her passage through the company. She revealed her creative frustrations during an appearance in The Ariel Helwani Show. The former female couples champion shared that, although she enjoyed parts of her career in WWE, she often felt creatively stagnant.
Former Pure Fusion Collective leader also said he gave up better when he had more control over her character. Deville admitted that the inconsistent start and stop address of his stories made it difficult to generate impulse, despite his efforts to constantly reinvent himself with new attire and character settings.
The last appearance in Sonya's ring for the company was against Natalya in the February 3 of Main Event.
