Kevin Owens is currently one of the most entertaining heels in WWE. The analyst Sam Roberts recently suggested that a massive legend could leave the retirement to fight Owens in Wrestlemania 41.
The Prizefighter is ready to challenge Cody Rhodes for WWE's undisputed championship in a stairs fight this Saturday in Royal Rumble. A few days ago, the member of the Fame Hall Shawn Michaels moderated the contract signing between KO and The American Nightmare. The former universal champion was seen launching multiple attacks against The Heartbreak Kid. The 40 -year -old fighter also tried to apply a Piledriver to Michaels before Rhodes rescued the latter. The showstopper then hit Owens with a Sweet Chin Music.
In his podcast Notsam WrestlingRoberts revealed that he would like to see Michaels return for a last fight against Owens in Wrestlemania 41 after a fan proposed the idea. The 41 -year -old WWE analyst said that the company could organize it in the same way they did with KO's fight against Stone Cold Steve Austin in Wrestlemania 38:
“What would happen if they did that? Ah, I don't know. I would absolutely love and worship if they did Shawn Michaels vs. Kevin Owens. Yes, I think it would be incredible. Yes, I think it would be great to have a fight between Shawn Michaels (vs.) Kevin Owens. You could repeat it exactly as you did with Stone Cold's fight. While Kevin Owens fulfilled his dream of facing Stone Cold Steve Austin three years ago, he has not yet fulfilled his other dream of confronting Shawn Michaels.
In an appearance in Fanatics Live Last year, The Prizefighter revealed that he had asked The Heartbreak Kid to fight him several times. However, the latter never accepted:
“I keep bothering Shawn Michaels every year to return. He simply does not. He is so kind about this every year. This year, I sent him a text message, he did not answer me for two months and then when he answered it was to tell me, 'Well, I know that I arrive a little late, but I just had a shoulder surgery, so I do not think it will happen.' You might have said not two months ago.
It would be interesting to see if the member of the WWE Hall of Fame finally leaves the retirement to face Owens in Wrestlemania 41.
